Two Prisoners Break Out of Prison and Leave Note to Return in 15 Days

ITALY: Two inmates broke out of prison in Italy to take care of some important business. One of the prisoners left a courtesy note in which he said he would be back in 15 days.

The inmates were cousins, Davad Zukanovic, 40, and Lil Ahmetovic, 46, who broke out of Rebibbia prison in Rome, Italy. The pair broke out overnight on June 2nd by climbing up a wall using a water hose from the courtyard.

In the letter, the pair explained they had, “the need to protect their children from a nasty business they had got themselves into.”

The cousins explained in the letter that the children had nobody to protect them as their wives were also in jail. They are serving a sentence for crimes including fraud and receiving stolen goods until 2029.

The pair promised to return in 15 days after sorting out their business.
