Taco Bell offers a free Chalupa Cravings Box to fans by downloading the company’s app and ordering ahead.
The Chalupa Cravings Box includes a 5-layer Burrito, taco, cinnamon twists and a drink. After downloading the app and ordering, customers have to go to a participating US Taco Bell drive-thru for pickup. The order must be made before Tuesday.
However, many customers report a crash in the app as they tried to redeem the offer. Also Read– Lost ring on Florida beach found 18 years later
One customer wrote on twitter, “Taco Bell really dangled a chalupa box in my face, crashed the app, and then said deal with it.” Another customer shared a screenshot of Taco Bell’s website which was experiencing problems due to higher than usual traffic. The customer wrote “@tacobell if you’re going to dangle a free chalupa cravings box to app users, YOU BETTER MAKE SURE YOUR SERVERS CAN HANDLE THE TRAFFIC…don’t let this happen again.”
Taco Bell Care later replied to customers on Twitter saying they were aware of the issues and are working on resolving the problems as soon as possible.
“We know our fans have a passion for our craveable food, especially craveable food that makes a Tuesday a little more epic,” Taco Bell said in a statement. “This overwhelming excitement and high traffic is causing some technical difficulties. We’re aware of the issue and are working quickly to ensure those fans impacted get the free $5 Cravings Box we promised.”
Taco Bell left many customers upset after some locations were unable to hold up the deal.
