Hollywood actor Brad Pitt earned an Emmy nomination for “Saturday Night Live” gig as Dr. Anthony Fauci. Pitt earned his second-ever Emmy nomination on Tuesday as the lifesaving head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
The gig lasted three minutes, and was a dream come true for Fauci, who has become a household name during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“First, I’d like to thank all the older women in America who have sent me supportive, inspiring and sometimes graphic emails,” Pitt said as Fauci during the April show before taking off his costume to thank the real health expert.
Dr. Fauci praised the appearance saying Pitt did “a great job.”
Brad Pitt was previously only nominated once, for his guest appearance in the comedy series “Friends.” He lost to Anthony LaPaglia in “Frasier.”
