Tuskegee Airmen Movie Red Tails, Touch the Soul of Kickboxing Champion

|

The movie “Red Tails” is a historic 1st high budgeted movie produced starring an all “Black Cast.”Star Wars producer George Lucus put over 50 million of his own money in making this movie.  Hollywood executives did not believe a movie with an all Black Cast can be successful.  Lucus spent over 20 years trying to get this movie completed.  One person who will support this movie is 5 time World Karate/kickboxing Champion Anthony “Amp” Elmore from Memphis, Tennessee.  Elmore is a filmmaker and community activist who is taking the Gauntlet of Dr. Martin Luther King to Africa. See You Tube .

Elmore is promoting “The idea of the world’s 1st State    Reception of African Americans returning to Africa. Elmore is organizing a celebration in Kenyan in 2015. Elmore wants to connect the Ancestors of Africans and African American together. While the story of the Tuskegee Airmen in the movie “Red Tails” may seem “unrelated” Elmore understands this story as only a chapter in the saga and struggle of people of African decent.

Elmore is a Community activist in Memphis, Tennessee.  Elmore met Tuskegee Airmen Flight Instructor Dr. Linkwood Williams almost 40 years ago.  Dr. Williams was always an enigma to Elmore because of his humbleness, tenacity, and courage.  Elmore found this quality in all of the Tuskegee airmen and he understood this to be the spirit of the great historical Black Educator of Booker T. Washington.  Washington founder Tuskegee University.   Washington wrote the book; “Up from Slavery.”  Elmore as a youth met Dr. Williams. Elmore boasted to Dr. Williams about his knowledge of the Tuskegee Airmen.  Elmore asked Dr. Williams had he met any Tuskegee Airmen.  Dr. Williams shocked him when he told Elmore that he was a Tuskegee Airmen.  In February of 2008 Elmore hosted a Black History African dinner at his home and Congressman Steve Cohen honored Dr. Williams. Former American President George Bush and President Obama have prescreened the Movie “Red Tails.”  Elmore wants the world to see our Memphis Tuskegee connection, the late Dr. Linkwood Williams.

The story of the Tuskegee airmen is an important story. Elmore researched his friend Dr. Linkwood Williams and found a picture of him in the Smithsonian Library. Elmore found video that was not accessible. Elmore decided to use the video and produce a documentary of his friend Dr. Williams. Elmore spent 40 hours putting documentary together. The video of Dr. Linkwood Williams can be found on YouTube.  Elmore is spreading the word about the Movie “Red Tails” and he invites everyone to visit You Tube to learn about his friend Tuskegee Airmen Flight Instructor ; Dr. Linkwood William from Memphis, Tennessee.  Just go to You Tube .
