Try the Lemonade Diet for Detox
The season of excess is just about coming to an end and as a result of this many of us are turning our minds to dieting and detoxing to try and make up for the amount of food and drink that we have consumed over the holidays.
If this sounds like you and you are looking around for something that will get you back on the straight and narrow then you might be in the mood for a detox.
Now if you dieted before then you might have tried the odd detox in your time but without doubt one of the most hard core detoxes around is the lemonade diet or as it is also known the Master Cleanse.
This detox is not for the faint hearted, as it requires you to go without any solid foods for around 10 days (although most people only last couple of days at most). It is rumoured that Beyoncé used this diet in order to trim down for her role in Dreamgirls and you can see why this has become so popular with dieters the world over, as when you are doing something that was tried by Beyoncé herself then you are in good company.
As with all diets you have to make sure that your doctor thinks that you are in a fit state to partake, so make sure that you get your doctor’s approval before you partake in any type of detox.
For those of you who want to give it a try, then you will need fresh lemons, maple syrup and cayenne pepper in these ratios: 2 TBL fresh lemon juice, 2 TBL genuine maple syrup, 1/10 tsp. cayenne pepper and 8 fluid oz. water.
The diet is meant to give your body a break from breaking down complex foods and drinks that are not good for you and helping to bring back an equilibrium to your system.
