Stocks Marginally Higher in Early Trading

Stocks are marginally higher in early trading today amid hopes that Greece will reach a deal on reforms and secure next round of bailout funds from its European partners and the International Monetary Fund.

At last check, the Dow Jones was trading 0.02% higher at 12,880.24, the S&P 500 was trading 0.18% higher at 1,349.46, and the Nasdaq was trading 0.19% higher at 2,909.27.

Consumer Cyclical stocks are leading the gains in the S&P 500 in early trading. At last check, Consumer Cyclical stocks were trading 1.16% higher. Energy stocks are also gaining in early trading.  At last check, Energy stocks were trading 0.48% higher. Basic Materials stocks are up 0.34% in early trading. Financials are up 0.40% in early trading. Healthcare stocks have been the worst performers in the S&P 500 in early trading. At last check, Healthcare stocks were trading 0.31% lower.

Among the major gainers and losers in early trading today are Buffalo Wild Wings (NASDAQ: BWLD), which is currently trading 13.53% higher at $79.68, OpenTable Inc. (NASDAQ: OPEN), which is currently trading 7.32% lower at $47.69, Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS), which is currently trading 0.20% higher at $41.96, Silicon Graphics International Corp. (NASDAQ: SGI), which is currently trading 25.40% lower at $10.72, Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX), which is currently trading 2.52% higher at $39.06, The Western Union Company (NYSE: WU), which is currently trading 7.61% lower at $18.20, and ABIOMED Inc. (NASDAQ: ABMD), which is currently trading 2.31% higher at $23.23.

European markets are mixed in trading currently, with the FTSE 100 Index in London down 0.15% currently, and the CAC 40 Index in Paris down 0.40% currently.
