Happy Mondays Set to Reform
The Happy Mondays have confirmed that the band will reconvene for a one off month’s tour in May this year.
It will be the first time that the original line up have played together since 1992 and the band have made a statement saying that they hope to put on a great show for their fans.
It is reported that the band met last week to see if it was possible for them to reform following the notorious way that the band parted ways in the 1990s.
According to a source close to the band, it was Shaun Ryder who wanted to bring back the original line up. Ryder has said that he is excited that the band is set to play together
He went on to say that the boys from the band were like his family and that he had missed them not being part of his life for all of these years.
They were originally brought together as a band in the 1980s.
There are rumours that they will be the support act for the Stone Roses revival tour which was announced late last year.
The Happy Mondays have said that they would be up for joining the Stone Roses as their support act but that they had not had the green light.
